Reviving the Apple QuickTake 100: A 1994 Digital Relic

Sponsored by PCBWay:

Eight shots. No screen. And yet — in 1994 — the Apple QuickTake 100 was the future of consumer digital photography.
Today, I explore Apple’s first digital camera: from its origins with Kodak and Chinon to the QuickTake 150 and 200 successors.
Then I tackle a missing battery-compartment cover by designing and 3D-printing a replacement — first on a troubled Zeepro Zim printer, before doing a professional resin print.
We’ll also look at the QuickTake’s software, the quirks of using it on classic Macs, image format conversion on present-day machines and some real photos straight from this 30-year-old camera.
